Yes, some unpredictable event can come out of the blue, but that is always possible. And if it does, it is more likely an opportunity to buy rather than to sell.
Corporate taxes are headed down, regulation is being streamlined and reduced, the economy is in good shape and likely to get better. Even the Federal Reserve sends positive signals by moving to normalize interest rates. Up to a point, higher interest rates are a benefit to commerce, not the other way around.
