Another year is before us and there’s no time to reflect upon past success. New challenges, and a constantly changing investment landscape present us with new opportunities. It’s an intellectual challenge; one we relish. As we reflect on the great year we just had, a few observations:

Good years are often followed by another good year
Business fundamentals are in excellent shape
Economic growth, both domestic and international, is on the upswing
Economic optimism is soaring.

Now, onward. Investing always requires a dose of optimism. The belief that challenges can be overcome, opportunities always abound, and a willingness to believe in the power of the incentives of a free economy within a free people. We are all very lucky to live in this great country.
