It’s been choppy in the stock market lately, but really nothing serious. As dramatic as the news feed seems to be, what’s remarkable is how placid the market has been. One would normally expect much more reaction to many of the reported news events. So, on we go; higher and higher.
What volatility we are seeing is due to a shift in leadership. The U.S. stock market is making a shift from being led by a narrow group of growth stocks, to one lead by a much broader list of value stocks.
These value stocks would be companies in the materials, industrial, and financial sectors.
This is a messy process and takes a little time, but is surely taking place. This is healthy and offers many more opportunities for capital growth.
Stay steady, my friends.
