Volatility is back; not nearly as much fun as a low volatility stock market advance, like we had last year. However, inevitable; last week was slightly up, but the market is still down around 3% year-to-date.
Market investors have been focusing on a number of factors that we believe will prove to be temporary and insignificant to longer-term stock values.
Economic fundamentals indicate to us that business conditions should remain strong. This will help companies increase earnings and that will likely lead to higher stock prices. As long as we don’t suffer a major calamity, a little volatility is quite bearable. Stay steady my friends.
