In the struggle against terrorism and all forms of extremism, all of us are Frenchmen today. We share in the horror and take resolve with all free people to do what is necessary to prevail over the mindset and individuals that perpetrate such inhuman acts.
We all know there are no simple answers. The effort to prevail will take many forms and require smart strategies. To a degree, we are witnesses to a complex civil war within Islam as to its future.
Free people have an interest as to how that conflict resolves, but need to work with factions within that community to help ensure that an inclusive liberal view prevails. We want this community to be part of the civilized world, not standing opposed to it. As for markets, we all know this will be part of our lives for some time to come. Therefore the impact on asset values should be minimal.
