Investors are an impatient bunch. If they do not have tangible information, they begin making up something to worry about or spin a variety of scenarios. By its nature, investing is forward looking; spending money today to hopefully realize a return tomorrow. Along the way, as much information as possible is gathered and analyzed to indicate progress or not. For stock investors, corporate earnings are the most important long-term factor in determining if value is being created.

This week is betwixt and between. The recent quarter is over, but we do not know how things went and how companies might see their prospects. It is a good time for all manner of rumors and theories to get attention. Most investors should just sit on their wallets. Real information will soon be forthcoming. Do not fall for conjecture, wait for evidence. Not much has changed, most trends still look positive. Stay steady my friends.
