And of course a happy new year. We are almost at the end of the investment year; could anyone have predicted all the twists and turn of this one?
Thankfully, we had a good year. Our focus on quality and value worked; it usually does. We also took opportunities to take profits on a few growth issues that became overpriced with poor future investment prospects. No, we did not get everything right, but more right than not.
We do not intend to lose focus, but it is nice periodically to take stock and give thanks for all blessings large and small. The future is always uncertain. Those who think they know don’t and we can be assured there will be more surprises. Discipline and consistency will help us deal with whatever comes. Stay steady my friends.
