The midterm election seems to be reinforcing trends that have already emerged. For one, the stock market is broadening out once again. The tech trade is becoming more mixed as investors sort out winners from probable losers. An example here is that building new data centers may be more difficult. Money was already getting tight for these projects. Now, other impediments may be put in place. However, those that have data centers benefit from high demand for their existing facilities.
The Lonely Bull has noted in previous blogs that leadership in the stock market is shifting. It is moving from providers of Artificial Intelligence to those that clearly will benefit from using it. Healthcare and pharmaceutical companies in particular may enhance their drug discovery and development of new therapies. This is not black and white; some AI providers will also benefit. Beware of those companies that solely depend on the buildout.
Navigating this new landscape will take thought, experience, and intelligence. Riverplace Capital has maneuvered through previous technological revolutions, such as the explosion of the internet, communication mobility led by the smartphone, and before that, the rapid adoption of the personal computer. These were all big, but this one may be the biggest yet. We are available to help you. Feel free to call. In the meantime, stay steady my friends.
