Earnings for the third calendar quarter are coming out. Last quarter, earnings for the S&P 500 were up over 10% from those of the same quarter last year. We don’t expect such a big increase this quarter, but believe they will be quite good. Great earnings have been powering higher valuations and we expect more. Interest rates can also affect values for companies, but they are still very low; too low to be a factor.
So higher and higher we go. Fifty new stock market record highs, so far, this year. Some investors are nervous, but to be honest, they always are. Real investors are always looking for opportunity and want to tap into exceptional opportunities when they occur; that is now.
Stay steady, my friends.
