As we all know, we don’t always get what we want, but sometimes we get what we need. This past year has been extremely frustrating with markets at best going nowhere. At worst, most stocks were down substantially with only about a dozen that carried the averages.
So this was a much more difficult market than the indices indicate.
Maybe, after years of gains, markets simply needed a period of digestion. So let’s hope that is behind us and 2016 brings a return to optimism and growth. Most indications are good with stronger expected GDP growth, continued recovery in Europe and the beginnings of healing in emerging markets. The best present I could have is a decent market for you and me.
With the best of wishes, stay well my friends.
