Since the bottom of the financial crisis a little over seven years ago, the S&P 500 has more than tripled. All along the way, many commentators and investors alike, predicted dire consequences; a market built on paper, a lack of alternatives, and false assumptions. Instead the market rise followed increasing earnings, real estate also recovered, and real fundamentals kept improving.
So where now?
Fundamentals continue to get better, corporate balance sheets are in great shape, earnings and revenues are growing again and more of our trading partners are also seeing improvement. Remember, markets move on economic fundamentals and opportunity, not political rhetoric. This earnings season, company after company are telling us their futures are bright; stay steady my friends.
